The Cattolica Municipal swimming pool and sport centre has a main pool (25 metres), a micro-pool for teaching, a gym and a snack bar. Outside there is a large garden and a car park.
What has been done
A global energy upgrade project was carried out to reduce thermal and electrical needs at the same time as installing systems for more efficient heat production and on-site generation of energy from renewable sources. The project was financed and realised using the EPC (Energy Performance Contract) formula as part of a public-private partnership (PPP) involving the local council. SGR Servizi S.p.A. (a UNI CEl 11352 company certified as an Energy Service Company - ESCo) has been entrusted with the complete management of the plant for a period of 15 years.
