The Renewable Energy Community was established in order to produce and share locally the energy generated from renewable sources.
What has been done
The REC in question was established in the municipality of Castelbellino (AC) at the initiative of two industrial firms:- I.C.A.M.: a leading company in the sphere of water plant treatment and management as a prosumer. Given the high availability of usable roofed surface area, the REC installed a latest-generation photovoltaic solar plant with a power output of 98.4 kWp and a 9.6 kWh storage system
- BORA: this industrial partner specialises in Mould design, manufacture and maintenance, and the moulding of metal components for the Automotive and Household appliance sectors. This enterprise is highly energy-intensive, thus an important consumer within the REC
