Italian companies towards climate neutrality through RECs and carbon credits
Energy transition requires achieving the ambitious goal of climate neutrality by 2050.
Within this timeframe, Italian households and companies are called upon to find a way to gradually reduce CO2 emissions. The meeting focused on the great opportunities arising from the advent of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), a fundamental and innovative tool aimed at reducing CO2 through self-consumption of energy shared by a number of subjects.
Non-avoidable emission quotas can be offset through carbon credits on the voluntary market. These are innovative instruments that more and more companies are seeking on their path to sustainability in a growing market. They do however require expertise when navigating along this path in order to avoid greenwashing.
