Who has to carry out the energy audit?
According to the provisions of art. 8 of Legislative Decree 102/2014, large-sized, energy-intensive enterprises must carry out and submit to ENEA an energy audit of their production facilities by December 2015, and every four years thereafter.
What exactly is an energy audit?
The energy audit is a systematic procedure designed to: acquire an adequate knowledge of the energy consumption profile for a building or group of buildings, an industrial or commercial activity or facility, or public or private services; identify and quantify cost-effective energy saving opportunities; finally, report on the results.
